The National Centres of Competence in Research, NCCRs
The National Centres of Competence in Research (NCCRs) are institutionally supported research projects of nation-wide importance. The Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF) is responsible for conducting NCCRs on behalf of the Swiss government. These projects have a particular emphasis on interdisciplinary and innovative approaches within the disciplines. Each NCCR consists of a centre of competence (‘leading house’) and a network of partners from the university or extra-university spheres.
Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF)
Mandated by the Swiss federal government, the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF) is Switzerland’s leading provider of scientific research funding.
Euraxess Switzerland is the new Researcher’s Mobility Portal providing researchers with jobs in Universities, Federal Institutes of Technology and Universities of Applied Sciences, information about entry rules, working conditions, research in Switzerland and hints for families.
myScience.ch – The Swiss Portal for Research and Innovation
myScience.ch provides an overview of Swiss research and supports researchers by providing information about employment and funding opportunities.
