Junior Project Manager Healthtech (Internship)

About the Internship

The mission of swissnex India is to promote Swiss excellence in science, education, and innovation and to collaborate on the international activities of Swiss institutions of higher learning and research. The intern will work closely with Senior Manager – Life Sciences and Open Innovation on 2019 projects & activities in life sciences & innovation.

  • Office located in the heart of the vibrant city of Bangalore, South India


  • Responsible for organisation of ‘Personalized Digital Healthtech Conclave’ in April 2019: support swissnex India in implementation of the day and follow-up with Indian & Swiss partners post the conclave
  • Prepare stakeholder map for Switzerland and India in Digital Health (academia, startups and its enabling ecosystem which include investors, incubators and industry)
  • Provide monthly news highlights from India on healthtech esp. on digital health to Swiss stakeholders
  • Represent swissnex India in relevant conferences, trade fairs in biotech, pharma & medtech and relevant life science topics in Bangalore and Mumbai area.
  • Work with swissnex India team on ‘life sciences research & innovation’ information dossier
  • Execution and leadership of specific duties related to innovation mandates and support of overall operations of the team
  • Assist Senior Manager Life Sciences & Innovation in administrative tasks as per requirement


  • Master Degree student or recent graduate (less than 1 year ago at the start of
    internship) from life sciences, biomedical engineering or medical studies background
  • Swiss citizenship
  • Excellent written and oral English language skills; further languages are a plus
  • Open-minded, outgoing personality
  • Able to take direction and work in a team-environment but self-motivating
  • Strong interest in project management, public programming, and thematic research
  • Used to conceptual as well as administrative work – great organizational skills
  • Flexible for occasional evening or weekend assignments
