As part of our series on Women Entrepreneurs in Technology, swissnex India, in collaboration with IEEE Bangalore, is pleased to present an inspiring programme on International Women’s Day in Engineering.

Two engineers and entrepreneurs, Geetha Manjunath from Bangalore-based Niramai and Loulia Kassem from Swiss startup Rea, will present their technologies and discuss their journeys to building products for women well-being in India and Switzerland.

The session will be chaired by Puneeth Mishra, Chair, IEEE Bangalore Section, and speaker presentations will be followed by a panel discussion moderated by Silvana Renggli, Deputy Consul General of Switzerland.

Niramai develops a non-invasive AI-based diagnostic platform that uses patented thermal image processing and machine learning algorithms for reliable and accurate breast cancer screening. With over 25 years of experience leading IT research groups at Hewlett Packard and Xerox, Geetha Manjunath is the Founder, CEO and CTO of Bangalore, India based Niramai. Geetha holds a PhD in Computer Science from the Indian Institute of Science and management education from Kellogg’s School of Management Chicago

Rea develops a smart panty liner that analyzes vaginal secretions of women at risk of preterm birth and alerts the doctor via app if the mom-to-be has to go to the hospital. A passionate entrepreneur with a focus on women's healthcare, Loulia is Co-founder and CEO of Lausanne, Switzerland based Rea. Loulia has a double degree in Pharmacy and Biotechnology, and is the former founder of a pharmaceutical company.
