swissnex India hosts a one-of-a-kind workshop by Swiss startup LED Safari, titled ‘Make your own solar lamps’, under the flagship of TEDxBangalore. At the workshop, participants with get the opportunity to create a low cost MIY (Make-it-yourself) solar lamp that uses a small solar panel (0.5 W) to convert energy from the sun, store it in a battery and use it to power an LED bulb. Through the hands-on experience of making a solar lamp, participants will be able to understand and apply the concepts of clean energy, sustainable design and electronic solutions.

The selected participants will be notified by email. Only selected participants can attend the workshop. WALK-INS AND OBSERVERS WILL NOT BE ALLOWED.

LED Safari is a social startup based in Lausanne, Switzerland that aims to teach the use and benefits of solar technology in schools by integrating innovative pedagogy and hands-on practical training through creating a solar LED lamp. LED Safari believes that ‘a solar lamp can change the world’.
