swissnex India and Swiss Re India are co-organising a series of lectures on the topic of risk in 2015 and 2016. The second lecture in the series on ‘Dealing with Risks’ is ‘Health Risk Factors in Rapidly Changing Economies’.
The lecture will be given by Dr Christoph Nabholz, Head of Business Development, Centre for Global Dialogue of Swiss Re, and Dr Subu Subramanian, Professor of Population Health and Geography in the Department of Social and Behavioral Sciences at the Harvard School of Public Health.

About the speakers:
Dr Christoph Nabholz is Head of Business Development at the Swiss Re Centre for Global Dialogue. His team brings external perspectives and research into Swiss Re through high-profile industry events and research, undertaken in collaboration and interaction with external experts at world class institutions. The team addresses issues across the many lines of business written by the firm and help position Swiss Re as a knowledge company to clients and stakeholders. In his research capacity, he serves as a genetics consultant and supports Swiss Re Life & Health operations in identifying medical trends and developments, which may impact health outcomes and human longevity.
Prior to joining the Centre in 2007, Dr Christoph Nabholz spent four years in Global Life & Health Underwriting. From 1999 to 2002, he was a postdoctoral research fellow in genomics and functional genetics at Harvard University. Christoph Nabholz received a diploma in biochemistry from the University of Basel and a PhD with honours in molecular genetics.
Dr Subu Subramanian is Professor of Population Health and Geography in the Department of Social and Behavioral Sciences at the Harvard School of Public Health. He is also a faculty associate at the Institute of Quantitative Social Sciences at Harvard University and is a member of the Steering Committee for the Harvard Center for Population and Development Studies, and the Harvard Center for Geographic Analysis. Subramanian has a PhD in Geography from the University of Portsmouth, UK with a specialisation in multilevel statistical methods.
