Focus India’ a student group from the School of Business, University of Applied Sciences of North Western Switzerland (FHNW), visited India for a business tour.

The Focus India programme was created to tap into the enormous potential that India has to offer. The number of Swiss companies and startups is steadily increasing in emerging countries such as India. A prior cross-cultural training would be helpful in growing their business in emerging countries.

Focus India’s approach has always been to connect theory and practice. Hence, they establish the theoretical foundation of their education through lectures by speakers who have high levels of expertise in Indian culture and business practices. During their business trip to India, the knowledge gained from the lectures was deepened by company visits and presentations by local experts.

The project team of Focus India 2016 focused on how Swiss, Indian and international companies gain and train young, skilled employees in order to ensure high quality and performance in a competitive and sustainable manner.

This year we will took the group to Workbench Projects, one of the best makers space’s in the heart of Bangalore city.
