Swiss Knowledge Network with outposts in:
Swissnex India, Switzerland's outpost for science, technology and culture in India, is an initiative of the Swiss State Secretariat for Education and Research of the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Swiss Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Similar institutions are located in Boston, San Francisco, Shanghai, and Singapore. Our goal is to fully exploit the potential of cooperation between Switzerland and the respective host countries in the fields of higher education, research, technology, innovation and culture and to promote Switzerland as a leading country in those domains.

OPEN CALL 2011

Project proposals in the following priority research areas will be accepted for consideration:

1. Material Sciences & Nanotechnologies

2. Human Health and Medical Sciences, restricted to the following subfields:
- Infectious biology including innovative and safe vaccine development
- Oncology

Funding decision: December 2011
Project start: January 2012

Indo Swiss scientific cooperation
Indo Swiss Joint Research Programme supports cutting edge research that brings together faculty and students from India and Switzerland.

ISJRP was founded in 2004 by the Swiss State Secretariat of Education and Research SER and the Indian Department of Science and Technology DST with the goal of furthering cooperation in strategic scientific and technical areas relevant to Switzerland and India. The leading house for Indo Swiss cooperation is the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne EPFL (www.epfl.ch) together with the associated leading house, the University of Lausanne (www.unil.ch).
