Swiss Knowledge Network with outposts in:
Swissnex India, Switzerland's outpost for science, technology and culture in India, is an initiative of the Swiss State Secretariat for Education and Research of the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Swiss Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Similar institutions are located in Boston, San Francisco, Shanghai, and Singapore. Our goal is to fully exploit the potential of cooperation between Switzerland and the respective host countries in the fields of higher education, research, technology, innovation and culture and to promote Switzerland as a leading country in those domains.
 

Core Team

Dr. Silvia Hostettler is Executive Director of swissnex India. She studied International Relations at the University of Geneva, Environmental Science at the University of Aberdeen in Scotland (BSc), Development Studies (CAS) at the EPFL and also earned her PhD at EPFL.

Mrs Janis Barker is looking after Swiss delegations, prepares visitors programs and coordinates office logistics. Before joining swissnex India, Janis was Coordinator for the Consulate of Switzerland in Bangalore.

Ms. Maitree Dasgupta is Communication and Events Manager of swissnex India. She has done her masters in Zoology from University of Calcutta and studied Environmental Law in National Law School Bangalore.
